How to Locate a Meeting Place Online
I'd like to recommend a site I found through Twitter a few years ago called "Meeting Centre of Gravity for ZIP Codes":
http://www.freemaptools.com/meeting-cog-for-zip-codes.htm
You can use this to find the centroid for up to 10 ZIP codes (you & 9 others): that is, the point which would require the least total distance traveled by all to meet. Then you use the search field to find a venue. For example, if you type "cafe" it will find cafes (or eating establishments w/ cafe in the name) near that centroid.
